Day 13: Describe how you met the last person you texted and talk about your friendship/relationship
It was sometime in the mid to late 90’s that I met the girl that I consider blood related. But she was just a toddler at this point. Fast forward several years where she was 16 and this is when we first had a real conversation. It went from Facebook to the casual exchange of numbers to text each other and then we’d see each other during Fusion and hug or just say hi. Did I think it would turn into anything? Not really. I’m the kind of person who makes friends easily but never really continuing the friendship. I suck at keeping in touch and even when I told her that, I don’t think it phased her much, she’s stayed connected with me in the past 2 and a half years.
I guess I’m doing something right? Our friendship is so strong that we consider each other sisters, despite the obvious physical differences. I know everything about her and she with me. We can’t hide anything from one another. Even though there is a huge age difference, she’s somone that I consider my accountability partner. She’s one of the people in my life that has kept me sane and focused on God when I start moving a bit backwards. She’s my “iron sharpens iron” and I am hers.
