Day 3: Describe a moment or a day when being single was really awesome.
Yes, being a single women has it’s drastically sucky moments, but then I have to admit, it has it’s amazingly sweet moments.
Mhm, moments. I don’t have just one moment, I have many. Like when I’m having a beauty day; a hair mask, facial, nails done and make-up. Or when I’m pigging out on my favorite sweets all alone in the house and I have no one to look at me like I just lost it.
But the BEST moment is when I’m having my Jesus dates. When it’s just me and him having this wonderful time in my room, in his word, singing my heart out and just enjoying his presence. I don’t have many of those moments because I don’t create or make time for those moments. I know for a fact that if I were in a relationship right now, I’d spend the majority of my time with that guy. Where is God going to be in the picture if there is a man that I may or may not treat like my god? My Jesus dates are my “fixin” moments; where Jesus does some operating on my heart and mind, exposing those little things that he just shakes his head at during the week and says “Yeahhh, we need to talk…’
I don’t mind being corrected, I don’t mind a friend or someone that I trust telling me where I went wrong.
Being single means spending time with God being chiseled and perfected, enjoying time to find out who you are and what you like to do and how he sees you. His beloved, his princess, his daughter, the one that makes his heart skip a beat just because you said “Good morning” to him. To drink in those moments with the perfect gentlemen before he brings in someone that’s only a slim representation of him, is something to enjoy in this season.
